oooooo Non accord project!!!! :D lol Figured i'd share the Dime since it is my passion lol plus i haven't been posting much and i feel the need to share lol

alright enough chit-chat! PICS!!!!!!

When i brought it home 4 years ago:

So, before we get into tear down and rebuild, i gotta say why i tore into it. I was on my way to the airport to pick up my wife(then GF). On the way, the rear tire tread on the passenger side ripped off at 65MPH and tore half my bed off. So i came home and put it in my dad's shop with plans to Body Drop, V8, and rebag it. Well not too long after that i got married and funding went out the window lol... So I finally got the job where i am now and progress has been pretty steady. During tear down i noticed a lot of problems. Pinched Brake line. the bed had been shimmed up about 3 inches, bed was cracking, bed sides weren't straight, compressors were mounted under bed(where water and dirt had been kcked up on them and they actually seized), etc.

So here's progress pics:
Engine: 355ci Chevy Engine, Keith Black pistons, 280H comp Cam, Edelbrock Air-Gap intake, Edelbrock 600cfm carb, 9.5:1 Compression(so i can put a procharger on it later), etc etc. Guy i took it to said on paper, it'll be over 400HP as it sits.



Got rid of heat to run a smaller hot rod heater from summit. So i made a nifty lil plate to cover the holes:


Redid the frame behind the axle. Welded tank to frame and made compressor mounts:





Prettied up and suspension all on:


Wheel wells welded up in front:


frame painted, firewall primed:


i have everything to drop the motor in, polyurethane mounts, rad and fans, however my dad rented out his shop so i had to move the truck to his house. Waiting for spring so we can clean out his garage and put the truck in to continue work on it.
I have a white board here behind my computer, split in two with "S-10" on one side and "ACCORD" on the other with lists of things i need lol. So my list goes like this:

NEED TO DO:
- Relocate Front Shocks
- Install B&M Shift Kit in Trans
- Drop In V8
- Plumb Air
- Rewire
- Replace Interior

NEED TO BUY:
- 3spd Ratchet Shifter
- Gauges
- Bed
- Mufflers
- Cats
- Exhaust Piping
- Fuel Cell
- Summit Heater
- Drive Shaft(shorten)
- New Brass Fittings

About $1000 and countless hours of work away from being back on the road, which is my goal.

gettin some money back from income taxes, wife claimed half of it so other half is mine lol... Gonna buy My ratchet shifter and fuel cell with it... So as soon as it gets warm out, i'll be back at it :D

and thanks for the comments on the custom stuff, but i'm a Beginner compared to this guy:


underslung frame....unheard of... Makes me happy in the pants region :D

Hey i found even more on another forum LOL These are mostly problems i need to fix

after my trip to airport:




Reason i sold my bed. You can see the tailgate doesn't line up with the drivers side panel. thought it was the shortened tailgate, but thats not the case. I bought another Tailgate with the same results:

Right now i'm just tryin to get it back on the road, been so long since i drove it and i miss draggin it lol... Especially when someone is tailgating me So right now thats the plan... After that i'm gonna start on bodywork... I picked up a 98+ GMC Grille and headlights from a junkyard so IDK if i'm gonna swap that or not, cuz i have to get a 98+ Rad support. But i'm lookin for a stepside bed but they're really hard to find at a good price... Mostly like $400 or even more. So i'll probably end up pickin up a fleetside from the Junkyard and just run that till i can fork out some cash for a Stepside.. I love the stepside, but mine was just beat to hell. But after get everything i want and bodywork done(shaving handles, gas door, rear) i want to paint it Chysler Inferno Red

Then i need to get my Boyds fixed. They're a bit bent and need polished, but i was thinkin of doing this:



But i'm not sure if i like that anymore, i wanted to do that 3 years ago, think my taste may have changed... Might just black out the spokes and polish up the lip

scored a bed for the dime. $40!!!!!!!!!! :D needs some work but i don't really care, its not a stepside like i want. Pics up later when i'm not tired as hell
