    quad retrofit

so i recently did a retrofit on my 5th gen, and i ran into a slight problem with the way i want it to work. i did a quad retro as the title states, but i want both of the projectors in one housing to light up with the low beam. how would one go about wiring 2 hid kits to the low beam harness since i dont want to put too much stress on the stock harness?

bi-xenon setup on the high beam
I don't mind being knocked off, ridiculed, made to feel minuscule, When you consider the source it's kinda pitiful.

well you could get 2 wiring harnesses.
be careful though with the highbeam retro.
another user was maybe the first to quad and it started melting the plastic because of how close the projector sat to the lens

If you're melting the headlamp... either a) your running 55w b) you're running a ghetto HID kit

I'd design some super harness if it were me.. otherwise you're stuck running a separate harness for each kit.

Read up on HIDplanet.. all the info you need should be there.

maybe its just me... but i've been looking and reading through hidplanet for the last 2 weeks, and im about 2/3 through doing my retro. and hidplanet didin't help me w/ sh*t. all kinds of info and advice, but nothing organized well enough for my ADHD ass to follow. good site for info.... if you wanna spend 80% of the time your doing your retro sifting through, analyzing, and attempting to interpret all the horribly written DIY's on that site. im sure there is a lot of awesome advice/write-ups/diy's/info... but the organization is way too fu*ked for me to follow. just my opinion.

You know why you will never find a full in-depth DIY retro? Because it's a lucrative business right now and no one wants to give away the tricks of the trade.

i did my retro the easy way out, got 4 morimoto minis, had to cut here and there but overall it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. the high beam area was a little bit of a bitch since i used the depo headlights and they have h1's already lol
