    F20B Mods

hey everyone, new to accord tuner, seems like everyone knows what theyre talking about here though lol, ive got a 1998 accord sedan with a f20b in it, looking for mods i can do to make it work better, so far i have chipped computer (launch control at 4500rpm, vtec at 4750rpm, and redline at like 9000rpm) cold air intake and everything else is stock, just looking to get some more hp outta this thing, was thinking about swapping some h22 cams in it but we did it to my buddies motor and there wasnt a noticable difference, im investing in a prelude transmission which makes it work better in the lower rpms, any ideas, thoughts suggestions would be appreciated... thanks for reading

a member here jus got rid of his F20B, and one of the reasons was the huge lack of support, if im not mistaken.

but theres more you can do. hopefully hell chime in. hes already gone through all of this. lol

yeah its hard to fins anything but b series parts especially where im from lol i couldnt go a day without someone asking me to buy something for a b when i owned one now its so much different for the f, one of the reasons i thought i would do one up aswell, not many people have it, b series civics/integras are dime a dozen in my neighborhood, only a handful of accord/preludes

H22 and f20b headers are the same. The block is a destroked h22.

good to know. if the block is a destroked H22 why is it still called an F20 instead of a H20. whats the internal difference that makes it that way. the sleeves? pistons?
I don't mind being knocked off, ridiculed, made to feel minuscule, When you consider the source it's kinda pitiful.

thats what i was thinking. no reason it'd Be the exact same as an H without being an H.

Nice to see at least somebody else is rockin' the F20 game

    I swapped out my F20 for a H23A

All external parts from a H22a are compatible such as Tranny, Header, Throttle Body, Intake, Intake Manifold, Valve cover and gasket, Distributor and ect...

Internal parts such as the Valvetrain and Cams, Timing belt, Clutch, Flywheel and other stuff are also compatible.

Pistons, rods and Crank are not compatible. Unless you get the sleeves bored to 87mm of course.

Btw, 9000rpm is a HUGE mistake. I pushed my F20 to 8600 for 1year. All went ok but now it burns coolant. And forget a H22 transmission, go get the T2T4 from the F20B SiR-T. LSD and one of the shortest gearing available.

Also, did your F20 come with a flywheel or a Torque converter plate?

im not too sure what all it came with, i just helped the guy put it in, the car never sees 9000, barely pushed it to 8000 and now that its all painted it definitly wont, a lot of people are saying to go with an f23 block and put an h22 head on it, has anyone heard of this before?
