really, there's a lot of wrong info flying around in that thread. someone who actually has the setup needs to respond in this thread.
yea i did find the d2s/d2r adapters, but from what ive read for our accords we want 9006 bulbs... but that is without the shields.
In the same post the say d2s bulbs are for applications with a stock projector.

From what ive seen on pics of the installed shields shows they fit our standard h4 headlights, and a d2s/d2r kit will bolt right up to that shield... and you would use a d2r for the bulb because your using a reflector not projector setup.
This info is from random research and still needs verified.
The other question is would you be able to use a 55w HID kit with the shield and your stock reflector without it melting?
no clue. i don't know how much hotter the 55w kits run compared to the 35w kits.
whut optical posted in post #24 are casper shields. they serve as an adapter to fit a d2s bulb into an h4 housing properly, and also to cut down on glare. believe they were more meant for d2s bulbs since they dont have the extra coating on the bulb like d2r's to control light. the bulbs actually in post #24 look like d2r's.
