yea i had to kill the vacuum monster,i've been working on honda carbs for 20 years, i know the system inside and out, and I still couldn't fix it anymore. the vaccume disaster that came factory was one of the worst messes they ever created. other then the dual carb computer controlled mess on that lude, it was just the keihin X2 with more complexity, they had trouble with those when they were new.

i'm waiting on a carpet and some other parts from a member on three geez, then i can put the interior back in, i found a better dash, so i'm doing some work on it and getting it ready to go back in, i put the security and remote control system in,that was a nightmare in itself, something like 25 relays and wiring like an airbus, the new dash will also have the radio face mounted in it, with the radio box mounted remotely. i'm waiting on money for the odyssey battery, it goes in the custom box behind the passenger seat.

I got bored so I worked some more on my valve cover, We get horrible humidity here, then cold snaps so all the water condenses under my hood, all my aluminum started corroding, so i'm painting or cleaning up each piece and putting it back in.
here are a couple of pictures of the valve cover.

I'm still figuring out the clamps where the cables have to go

    this is the breather

    bottom side of breather

I had to modify the valve cover hold down bolts to make the center cover fit, the threaded part had to be cut off, then they had to be drilled and tapped for socket head screws. those hold down bolts are some really hard metal for some strange reason. the holes tapped into the valve cover for the center cover, and the wire holder, the screws that go into them, get thread sealer before being screwed in. this stops oil leaks.

prelude SI, I had a heck of a time getting that center bar to clear, I had to re engineer the valve cover studs. these valve covers are getting rare, most are coke cans now. The strange thing is the nice aluminum oil cap I had on the 86 valve cover wouldn't fit, it's the same between all third generation caps, the steel cover and the aluminum cover have different threads. the lude cover has the same threads as the aluminum 3g valve cover. it's also the same as a 98 civic. I found a cap on one at the yard the other day, it's identical to the cap I had on the steel cover, just different threads. It's now flat black. I'm looking for a honda key chain with a nice older style emblem. then I can mount the round emblem in the cap center.

this is the center bar, a friend of mine is going to stripe it for me,

with it on the engine it hides the hold down screws, and gives a point to anchor the cables.

mocked up the entire center console piece, i have to mark the location of the two front holes on the armrest. probably about 200 hours total in the entire thing over several variations, finally happy with it. lots of pieces from bare plastic to now. I still need to paint the center piece black.

Geo storm, but with some silver wheel paint, H caps, and the beauty rings when I get them, They look like old school Honda wheels, but in 14's which you couldn't get then, pardon the multi color lug nuts new ones coming.

I'm in the process of modifying a 1977 Fiat steering wheel to fit in the hatch, I love the wheel, I'm too broke to work on much else but what i've got already, but this was five bucks and it's a gorgeous wheel. rest of the thread is at three geez here's the link http://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71701

I'm not sure here are a few pictures of it at the yard, I can't hook up the horn until I find a non cruise control slip ring and turn signal cancel sleeve for the accord, can be from anyone without cruise 86-89. def not a bolt in by any means, I adapted the wheel to a grant adapter for the accord, looks nice with some fresh stain
