I hope you're doing some kind of re-sleeving on the block.

Go DJ 061185: you gonna blow your motor. Now me & dbsharp gotta rip apart the motor & replace the piston rings you fried
Not needed for the pistons i'm running. All those stories you hear of H22's having weak cylinder walls on boost, more than likey come from a bad tune or were open deck blocks. Mines is closed deck.
Perfect example: check out this guy (i'm sure your'e familiar with him).
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/j...-vs_155822.htm
I talked to him a few months back when i started the boost route. He said he ran up to 20psi strong for 3 weekends before he messed up his motor. He said he wanted to see how well the H would hold up and what would blow first. Plus his turbo is much stronger than mines. If you search his other vids you'll see that he threw a rod, walls were fine.
Also the guy i bought the tubular manifold from said he went as high as 12psi on a fully stock motor till he fried the piston rings. Again, walls were fine.
Plus there's a shop here that only deals with Hondas and Nissans. Although they charge $500 for a tune, i'm more than happy to pay that knowing the skill level they have. Tuning is always the key!
The build continues!
JDM h22s hav a closed deck, usdm H22a motors r open i believe , (correct me if im wrong),
but great info on the walls, deff wanna go boost![]()
My motor is a 97....... but its jdm.....lol, o well, one way or another the head will come off n can check for myself
That's really good news. Now, put it together, pump out a tune, and throw down! We're waitin'!
