    Minor Update.

Just an update for ya. The car is now at the body shop and is in the preparation stage. Sorry for the cell phone pics. I'll take some good ones this coming week sometime.

    Here's some pics for ya!

If you're wondering what the cinderblocks are for on the hood. Well, they heated it up because its a CF hood so it would contour perfectly to the fender line. So to shape it how they wanted it, underneath the cinderblocks is a piece of metal they fabricated which will mold the CF hood (which they're painting over anyhow) more to the lines of the fender

I considered shaving the side moldings but then I was looking at a car without and it looked a little odd so i said screw it. I am actually going to have him paint the moldings a matte black.

You'll love the color of the car when its done.

I am done with the audio, the motor swap is complete and once the body shop is done with it, stage 2 cams, camshafts, intake manifold and whatever miscellaneous parts I have to change with that are going in. The interior is completely black (minus the rsx seats which are going in now) and that's complete and looks nice. Once the body stuff is done its a wrap. I am having the guy who is painting the car also painting the valve cover the same color as the car so I'll have the stock red valve cover for my H22 and the body colored, and then the little inserts in the hole at the top of the rsx seats are a metallic silver, he's gonna paint those too, just for shits and giggles. I have some professional pics scheduled for a few weeks from now, I cant wait.

I left it in there just for shits and giggles I guess, couldn't be bothered to take it out. The guy is trustworthy though, no worries there, his thing is corvettes and mustang restoration, he isn't really interested in my system, plus, its in a gated lot but never outside of the building. Only 3 people work there so no big deal.

That isn't regular masking tape, I asked the same thing. I was like wtf...he said no, that stuff is quite expensive and its what a lot of restoration body shop guys use, its a lot better of a grade than some of the stuff out there in some body shops, so I said whatever, we'll find out when all is said and done.

Well I wasn't implying that it would stolen but damaged, that stuff looks awfully close to the sub and the sanding dust etc.. can get into the voice coil etc..

Its gonna be different to the stock color. The stock color is made up of both burgundy and maroon. If you remove a percentage of one, or add a percentage of one, you change the color drastically, its insane, just changing one for the greater by 10% changed the color almost to a root beer color (brown). I have decided to go with a custom color where 12% of the maroon has been removed which will lighten up the color ever so slightly, however, there will be some other addition to the paint. No worries, you'll like it.

As far as the system goes, they'll be done with most of the work by tomorrow or the day after so that will be good. Hopefully it doesnt have any negative effects but if it does, the sub in there is an 8 year old rockford fosgate punch power dvc. Hot sub that hits but i can change it out, perhaps for an Alpine Type-R. We'll see.

As far as the brick, no worries, its all for a good cause!

I too like the look of accords w/out the moldings, but they do come in handy in crowded parking lots. People need to watch where they are swinging their doors.

And those Rota's look amazing! I can't wait till it's done. I didn't know you were having so much stuff done!

Still love that bordeaux red! I really wanna see how the color turns out.

Signature updated to reflect current paint status.

I see two bricks...what are they holding inside haha...keep the pics coming as the work goes along, and I'm going to second the opinion on the side moldings.

Thanks Shaun, I am gonna have the guy do that for me, he said it wont be too much trouble so that'll be fine. Of course, the 1st guy said the same thing so lets wait it out and see. As far as the stock color, for the most part its very similar however its better, I feel as if I've taken the stock color and improved on it. The paint being used is House Of Kolor. Its a good high end paint but not tacky and hood looking like some of those you see on show cars etc... It still looks like a stock color but just better. You'll have to just wait 2 weeks! ! !

Anyhow, yea, things are coming along.
