umm..i just swapped out my cheap coils for some eibach sportlines and there's a big ass gap in the front? looks like 4x4 in front? is there settling that should occur? these springs are used..the back seems ok...but front is like stock height? what to do?

got any pix bumski? I know that the sportlines drop the accord 1.8/1.7 but that .1" isn't going to "even" out the differences in the wheel well size between the front and the rear (front being a lot higher than the rear. And honestly, I don't think 1.8" drop on our cars are that noticeable, but are more noticeable on civics and integras. If you're springs are used, they should be settled in already unless the owner used them for less than a week. Make sure you don't have the springs for the F and R switched.

what prompted you to switch your coilovers for the sportlines? What brand, so we all know not to buy it. I like the drop you have in your sig.

i was on cheap coils before....ebay coils.....ride wasn't that great so i wanted to switch....i didn't want to go too low so i passed on the neuspeed races, i was gonna go sport, but then decidied to go with the eibach sportline since my friend at home had a set laying around...that's why i switched...i'll get some pics up later...see what you guys can see...

that's gotta be wrong. there's no way it should look like that, my bro-in-law's Pro-Kit looks lower than that. the front should always be lower than the rear. that's weird man. if it's used all the settling should be done. somethings up.

yea..that's what i thought too...since they are already settled...they should be lower...i'm on AGX too, would that make a difference? and the dust caps are suppose to stay on right? hmmm...something is fishy...

Yea, AGX's tend to raise the car a bit. my car sits the sameway even tho I'm on H&R sports, but they drop about the same in the front, 1.75 i think

I have Koni Yellow's on my 1992 LX with Pro-Kit's and I am higher then that. Plus with Pro-Kit's the front will be higher then the back and it's unescapable. On HS there is a sticky of lowered 4th gen's and there is a green 4 door with my exact same setup and he looks identical, front is higher.

The car is lowered evenly it's just that the wheel wells design presents the illusion that it's higher when it really isn't. That's why most springs for the Accord lower the front more to make the car look more even and give it a nice raked look, something like the M3.

Anyhow Bum's car will settle more. It's possible the front springs are not seated correctly and that is why they are higher but if he installed them with some grease on the top and bottom they should work into place after a few u-turns and really settle in.

well i dunno wut my bro-in-law did, but he's got a pretty nice drop on his Pro-Kit. it's like a 3 1/2 finger gap all around. bumski, if it doesn't settle, check to make sure if you got the metal thing, i dunno wut it's called, but that thing that the spring sits on, the right way. cuz some people flip it around on accident. it's that thing on the strut, on my bilsteins, it's possible to take them off and flip them around. i dunno y i would tho. so check to see if you had that on correctly.

if the drop is the same all around then the front is gonna be higher or seem higher since the fender is lower on the rear then on the front.. hence why some spring are lower in the front then there rear.. go back to your coils homie.. if not go 2.2 that's a really good decent drop ..

what do you mean grease it the top and bottom? i think we seated them correctly...and we cut the bumpstops in half...what's going on!?!

what color are ure springs? i got some "sportlines" off a friend a while ago and put em on and the drop was minimal. a lot like ures. i also am runnin agx's. but i was at a local shop and the sportlines springs were red and mine were black, so i think i had prokits. oh well. but mine looked just like ures does. hence why i switched to skunk2 coils.

i have the red eibach which are the sportlines...but i dunno why they're so high? they should be a lot lower...caues i've seen other cars with stock wheels with the same setup as mine, and it's low? weird..

You put grease on the top of the spring where it meets the bushing and on the bottom where is sits in the purch. This allows it to move slightly and properly settle into the purch and bushing. If you don't grease it then the spring may not be able to shift into place with the wieght of the car on it. After it's settled it won't move anymore and the grease will wash away with rain and everyday use.

I don't know how your shocks are but my Koni's have removable spring purches in the front and back so you can slightly adjust the ride hieght. If you installed the purches upside down in the front your front would be allot higher.

nah...we didn't grease the top and bottom, but we made sure the spring sat right on the strut....and no...my AGXs don't have adjustable perches...sucks..lol...
