2000 accord v6

I changed my spark plugs and cleaned the battery terminals but when I went to drive. My speedometer does not work. I do not have any manuels so any details of where my speed sensor is to check or anything else that it may would be nice. I really am hoping to do it myself but these newer cars are difficult to work on.

2000 accord v6. About 6 months ago I had the 2nd transmission put in. not sure if this matters at all.

2000 accord v6. I was just looking at it and the meter is on the other side of the peg that would hold it up too.

Did you unscrew the ground on the top of the valve cover and just forgot to screw it back?

i'm seeing a little bit of a funny point there...

sorry i'm not real sure where the speed sensor is on the V6 model... but inspect the tranny thoroughly since its an auto the shift linkage and slave cylinder won't be there to throw you off. i don't think.. idk... don't know what all auto trannys have

short and simple ones but i think the second one is the one you can interpret the probable cause of the problem from.. last post in it.

Thank you for the replies. I had someone unplug the speed sensor and reset the battery then apparently everything decided to work again. Not sure which one it was that was causing it. Hopefully it will not happen again :) Happy I don't have to replace things.

reset the battery? interesting terminology, wasn't aware they had reset buttons... glad you got it fixed, now you know what to replace in a week when it stops again!
