1 vs 2

basicly i have thought about it and i don't know if i could justify getting 2 12's as opposed to one... i really want to save for a motorcycle for next year...so that extra 200+ from the sub and extra powerful amp could go toward it some...


is there a real big advantage to getting 2 12's as opposed to one?
sub of choice is the alpine swr-1241d (the 4ohm dvc one)

or should i go w/ the one... be happy and next year be that much closer to my crotch rocker?

btw i don't care about being the loudest... i just want it to sound good and be decently loud... i use to want like tha top stuff... (1 15" XXX powered by a 1600 watt amp(aprox 137-140db just off the 1 sub::biggrin:)) but i'm kinda out of that whole..spend every penny on my system mode

Just remember in order to raise your stereos output by 3 dB you have to either double your power, or double the number of speakers in your car. Two subs just seem to be the norm, for you run that Alpine in a ported enclosure to Alpines specs, and enjoy both your system and your rocket.
