Sup guys, I'm painting my moldings this weekend but I'm gonna do them a lil different. I'm gonna paint the top moldings body color, and the bottom ones silver. Do ya'll think it'll look aiight? Dont flame me for asking, I know its my car, just wanted some opinions, lemme know what u think. I did a garbage photochop on MS Paint just to give an idea of what it would look like.

Hmmmm, be careful when you ask for opinions.... you just might get em....
I dunno man... it's your car and all but I think all the same color would look better. I can't tell you what a difference it makes to have it all the same color, I remember when i first got mine done...brings a tear to the eye. but back to the question, I've seen all kinds of things like that and it always seems to look cheap and/or ghetto to me. Kind of riceboyish.... like the owner had some extra pain and some spare time... Maybe just paint the moldings body color and leave the skirts and lip black. SE style...
just do whatever you like...after all you have to live with it and look at it everyday. Don't let us talk you into it or out of it.
On a sidenote: I saw a green 92-95 Civic coupe the other night with white painted moldings and skirts, and I'll just say it looked blah...

Done correctly is could be classy. Done quick and cheap it will be ricey.

i think that if it ties into your rims, it might look real nice, but it also might look not as good as body colored. either way its better than black i think

i understand the thought, and the silver molding would accent ur rims and projectors. but i gotta go with everyone else and say keep it all one color, it looks a ton neater, planned, organized, and classy. if u start changing colors of different things it starts to look ricey. u dont necessarily need to paint the skirt moldings tho, u can leave them black and paint just the sides. that would look real nice w/ a dark green car, like stated above. if u do decide to paint them silver, feel free, its ur car, and u make it look exactly how u want it to look. im sure ur not gonna get flamed for having a silver trim.

ah homie dont do that .. i never like that diff color scheme.. either paint them the same color of the car or dont paint them at all . .is my opinion...

my boy StrikingAchord did it to his 5th gen, same color as yours and in all honesty, it looked like trash. I told him how easy it was to make it body color, and he did it body color. He told me afterwards..." I don't know that i was thinking with the silver moldings"

Well, if you DO paint them silver, just make sure not to drip paint on your rims, like you did in the photochop! Haha, just playin withca.

Did someone say pudding???
I think you might've actually pulled the color scheme off Go n low if you had body color moldings and white rims...
But the white mudflaps was a nice touch...sorry I couldn't resist...

it could be a what not to do/what to do... a transition of sorts. if you've got pics of painted white trim, i'm sure you've got plenty of pics in b/w. it might really help some folks out there!:()

Looks good projek,
I had all my trim painted white, (moldings and skirts) but I had my Mugen Lip painted black and it clashed too much so I painted the skirts black to match... much better, more sleeper-like...
I just love it when another 4thGen with a clue pulls up next to me and thinks I have an auto SE and revs on me....

It's not mixed, just used some paint they had at Advanced Auto Parts, looks the same from about a foot away, but when you get close, there's a slight difference.
And I want to do it again, cuz I didnt sand the rear bumper as smoothly as I could have. I may, I may not, just depends.
